All the daily extras

Life is busy, and life on the road can be even busier with all the time spent finding: the next destination, the next place to stay, where to top up on water and electricity, where to do laundry, and so much more. I very consciously built the van with no other daily tasks: no need to convert the bed for sleeping, the bathroom for showering, or the kitchen for cooking; everything is in its usable position at all times. Well, except for the two front chairs, which swivel to accommodate more seating as necessary, but only when necessary.

So, while there are so many great aspects of this lifestyle, the extra time spent on finding those things that were once a basic and fairly unconscious part of life can feel draining, though I’m also grateful for the perspective, and to not to take them for granted.
